How to rate a date: the Ickmeter scoring system explained
Our quiz gives every date a score out of 100. Here's how the ick math actually works, and why "100% green flag" gets a delulu warning.
Every quiz answer is weighted. Not all icks are equal.
The tiers
- 0–19 — Green Flag Royalty. If you scored this, we love it for you, but also… nobody's perfect. Bit sus.
- 20–39 — Green-ish. Solid vibes, minor crimes.
- 40–59 — Kinda Mid. Neither here nor there. Trust your gut.
- 60–79 — Ick Detected. There is a reason you're doing this quiz.
- 80–100 — Cataclysmic Ick. Block them, change your number, move.
How the math works
Each question has a weight. Green-flag questions have negative weights (they lower your ick score). Ick questions have positive weights, scaled by how severe the ick is. We normalise the total against the actual mix of questions you got, so answering "nah" to everything sits you in the middle — not the ceiling.
Why 100% green flag is sus
Statistically, no real human clears 30+ questions without one weird trick. If you scored 0, either they're a saint, they're masking, or you're a bit delulu. All three deserve investigation.
